Designed for 10+ Year Hairdressers, this course focuses on how the razor can create both softness, fluidity, and disconnection as well as strength, defined shape, and volume. Students will gain a deeper understanding of the technical and visual differences between the two razor techniques through a unique side-by-side demonstration. This approach allows participants to directly compare weight distribution, texture, and movement. Emphasis is placed on choosing the appropriate blade movement for different hair types, maintaining control with the razor, and creating customized results that balance structure with definitive style.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Execute a modern yet classic shape as well as a disconnected yet wearable textured style through differing techniques.

  2. Analyze the visual and technical differences between the two styles.

  3. Recognize when to use a razor versus shears based on client hair type and desired outcome.

  4. Maintain precision and structure cutting with creative razor techniques to modernize the bob.

  5. Confidently consult with clients to recommend tool choice and finish for a customized result.
