Designed for 3+ Year Hairdressers, this course explores the artistry and technical differences between razor and shear haircutting.
Students will examine how each tool impacts texture, movement, and overall shape through a unique side-by-side demonstration. You will gain a clear understanding of when and why to use one over the other. Emphasis is placed on blending precision with creativity to expand cutting versatility behind the chair.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate fundamental cutting techniques using both razor and shear.
Analyze the impact of each tool on texture, weight distribution, and movement.
Identify which tool is most effective for different hair types and styles.
Blend razor and shear techniques to create customized, modern shapes.
Confidently decide between razor and shear to achieve client-specific results.
